‘Salute to the Game’ to be held Sept. 26

The annual “Salute to the Game” luncheon — which is held prior to the annual St. Xavier High School-Trinity High School football game, will be held at noon Sept. 26 at The Galt House in downtown Louisville. The game will be played on Sept. 28 at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium

This year’s speaker will be former Ohio State University player and current ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit. The event benefits the Catholic Education Foundation, and proceeds from the luncheon go toward providing tuition assistance to families whose children attend Catholic elementary schools.

The St. X-Trinity football rivalry is one of the nation’s most established, and annually draws a crowd of more than 30,000. A table for 10 can be reserved for $750. Individual tickets are $75 and can be reserved by calling 585-2747 or reaching them online at www.ceflou.org.
