Retreat for couples planned at St. Patrick in February

Dr. Allen Hunt of The Dynamic Catholic Institute will present a half-day retreat for married couples early next year called “Passion and Purpose for Marriage.”
The retreat will be held on Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road.

“This retreat is bargain priced at $25 per person,” said Tim Grove, director of lifelong formation and education at St. Patrick and local chairperson of the retreat. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience a refreshing new vision for your marriage as only Dr. Hunt can offer.”

Hunt will discuss the “Five Love Languages,” “Five Things Women Need to Know about Men,” “Five Things Men Need to Know about Women,” and “The Most Important Word in a Marriage … and it’s not Love.”

Singer, songwriter and guitarist George Lower will provide music at the retreat.

Hunt serves as the vice-president of strategy and content at The Dynamic Catholic Institute. He is also a nationally-known speaker and best-selling author. His books include “Confessions of a

Mega-Church Pastor: How I Discovered the Hidden Treasures of the Catholic Church;” “Everybody Needs to Forgive Somebody;” and “Nine Words: A Bible Study to Help You Become the Best-Version-of-Yourself.”

In addition to St. Patrick, the retreat is sponsored by the following churches: St. Peter the Apostle, St. Albert the Great, St. Aloysius in Pewee Valley, Ky., Epiphany, St. Gabriel, St. Francis Xavier in Mt. Washington, St. Bernadette and St. Margaret Mary.

Tickets, which are $25, will be available on some weekends and most weekdays in the offices of the sponsoring parishes. Only check and credit cards will be accepted. Tickets are also available online at dynamiccatholic.com under the “events” tab.
