Refugees honored at World Refugee Day celebration

Catholic Charities of Louisville Migration and Refugee Services hosted a World Refugee Day celebration June 30 at the agency’s West Market Street campus. The festivities included dance and monologue performances from refugees, an international food buffet, a bounce house for kids, henna tattoos, and other activities for children.

Colin Triplett, director of Catholic Charities’ Migration and Refugee Services, said the annual celebration aims to celebrate and show continued support for the entire refugee community in Louisville, especially those assisted by Catholic Charities.
