The Queen’s Daughter, a charitable service group in the Archdiocese of Louisville, awarded scholarships to four eighth-graders who plan to attend a Catholic high school in the archdiocese.
The awards were presented at the Queen’s Daughters annual May crowning service held at the Cathedral of the Assumption May 12. Each of the four students received $2,500 per year for two years to be used at the high school of their choice.
This year’s scholarship award winners were: Ian Beck of St. Stephen Martyr School, who will attend DeSales High School; Blake Duncan of St. Edward School, who will attend St. Xavier High School; Anna Heady of St. Leonard School, who will attend Sacred Heart Academy; and Allyson Schum of St. Paul School, who will attend Holy Cross High School.
The Queen’s Daughters organization recently celebrated its bicentennial anniversary.
