Presentation’s ‘Hats Off’ Alumnae dinner will be April 15 at the school

Presentation Academy will honor three alumnae during its annual Hats Off Alumnae event April 15.

The Alumna of the Year award will be presented to Kelly Hartman, a 1991 graduate. Hartman has taught at Presentation since 1995 and served as assistant principal since 2007. Hartman is also the senior class moderator, spirit club advisor and dance team liaison, according to a press release from the school.

The Young Alumna of the Year award will be presented to Dominique Alonga, a graduate of the class of 2010. Alonga is the founder and chief executive officer of We Rwanda and Imagine Nation, non-profit organizations in Rwanda.

The Topper Service award will be presented to Carole Moch Baines, a graduate of the class of 1955 who has given thousands of hours of service to Presentation Academy, including overseeing the creation and cataloging of the school’s archive, according to a release from Presentation.

The dinner will be in the school’s Arts & Athletic Center, 900 S. Fourth St., at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and proceeds will benefit the alumnae board scholarship fund. For more information, visit www.presentationacademy.org or contact Kristin Beck at kbeck@presentationacademy.org or 583-5935.
