Pilgrimages to honor Blessed Mother set for Sundays in May

The St. Meinrad Archabbey’s pilgrimages at the Monte Casino Shrine to honor the Blessed Mother will take place on Sundays in May.

The pilgrimages will feature a weekly speaker. Each service begins at 2 p.m. CDT with an opening hymn and a short sermon followed by a rosary procession, according to a press release from St. Meinrad. The service ends with the litany of the Blessed Virgin and a hymn.

The speakers and topics for the pilgrimages are as follows:

May 6 — Benedictine Brother Lorenzo Peñalosa will present “Purifying Our Memories with Mary, Mother of Hope.”

May 13 —Benedictine Father Meinrad will present “Mary Help Us to Experience the Mercy of God.”

May 20 — Benedictine Father Christian Raab, will present “Mary, Mother of the Church.”

May 27 — Benedictine Brother Simon Herrmann will present “Lessons in Hospitality” Mary and St. Meinrad.”
