Parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Louisville will celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe this month.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe, is the patroness of all of the Americas. Her feast day is Dec. 12.
Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz plans to preside at St. Bartholomew Church’s feast day Mass on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.
Holy Name Church, 2914 S. Third St., will have Mass Dec. 11 at 11 p.m. Mañanitas and a gathering will follow.
St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road, will have Mass at 10 p.m. Dec. 11. Danza, a play and Mañanitas will follow.
St. James Church in Elizabethtown, Ky., will pray a novena Dec. 3 to 11 at 9 p.m. Mass will be held at 10 p.m. Dec. 11. Mañanitas will follow.
Immaculate Conception Church in La Grange, Ky., will have the rosary at 4 a.m. Dec. 12. Mass will be celebrated at 5 a.m. and a celebration will follow.
St. Rita Church, 8709 Preston Highway, will pray a novena Dec. 3 to 11. Mass will be held Dec. 12 at 12 a.m., 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.
St. Joseph Church, 1406 E. Washington St., will have a banquet at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Mañanitas will be held at 11:30 p.m. and Mass will follow at midnight.
Our Lady of Mercy Church in Hodgenville, Ky., will have Mass at 7 p.m. Dec. 12.
At St. Helen Church in Glasgow, Ky., an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be available in the parish center for people to visit beginning Dec. 1. Prayer and and Mañanitas will be Dec. 11 at 11 p.m. A procession will be Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Mass and a celebration will follow.
Annunciation Church in Shelbyville, Ky., will have Mañanitas at 5 a.m. Dec. 12. Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m.
St. Edward Church, 9608 Sue Helen Drive, will have Mañanitas Dec. 12 at 5 a.m. followed by the rosary and a gathering. Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by a play on the apparitions of Mary.
St. Dominic Church in Springfield, Ky., will have prayer at 8 p.m. Dec. 11 followed by Mass at 9 p.m. and a supper.
