Parishes plan Divine Mercy Sunday events

Divine Mercy Sunday, April 28, will be celebrated at several parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Following are events that have been submitted to The Record:

  • St. Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop, will offer confession from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and rosary at 2:30 p.m., followed by Mass and Eucharistic adoration. Carmelite of Mary Immaculate Father Shibu P. Devasscutty will preside.
  • St. Patrick Church, 1000 North Beckley Station Road, will hold Eucharistic adoration from noon to 3 p.m. Confession will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and the rosary at 2:15 p.m. The Divine Mercy Hour will begin at 3 p.m. For more information, visit www.stpatlou.org or call 244-6083.
  • St. Paul Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, will offer reconciliation at 2 p.m. followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and rosary at 2:45 p.m. A Chaplet of Divine Mercy video will be shown at 3:10 p.m., followed by Eucharistic adoration at 3:30 p.m. Evening prayer and Benediction will begin at 3:45 p.m. For more information, contact Carol Masters at 424-6446.
