Parishes donate more than $115,000 to Catholic Relief Services

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s annual collection for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) yielded a total donation from parishioners of $117,951.50.

CRS is the international humanitarian organization sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Its latest financial report, from 2015, indicates that 93 percent of CRS’ annual budget funds its programs that serve the poor overseas. The agency currently serves in 101 countries and 85 million people benefitted from the organization’s work last year, according to its website, crs.org.
