Oct. 6 event will examine scientific aspects of the Shroud of Turin

Dr. Wayne Philips, a member of the international Shroud Science Group, will give a presentation about the Shroud of Turin on Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Clifton Campus, 2117 Payne Street.

Philips, a physician, earned a diploma in the specialization of shroud studies from the Vatican Apostolorum College in 2012. He has approval to give scientific presentations on the Shroud of Turin from Bishop Gregory Parkes of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The presentation, sponsored by Holy Trinity Church and the Notre Dame Club of Greater Louisville, is free.
