Notre Dame Academy will mark 10th anniversary April 10

Notre Dame Academy, a regional Catholic school, is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special Mass at 8:15 a.m. on April 10 at St. Lawrence Church, located next door to the school. Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz will preside.

Notre Dame, located at 1927 Lewiston Drive, was established in 2004 and is supported by Mary Queen of Peace and St. Lawrence churches. The school currently has 422 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. There are two classes per grade this year.

During the anniversary Mass, the school will unveil a tiled mural containing artwork created by Notre Dame students.

A press release from the school said the artwork expresses thanks to families and community supporters who “ensure NDA remains a healthy, academically excellent, and

Christ centered example of the Catholic faith. We are exceedingly proud and grateful for our success and pray that we continue to contribute to the life, vibrancy, growth, and development of Southwest Louisville.”
