Monks invite public to celebrate Christmas at St. Meinrad Archabbey

The Benedictine monks of St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, Ind., are inviting the public to their Christmas celebrations in the Archabbey Church.

On Dec. 24, vigil will begin at 7 p.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 p.m. Mass also will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Dec. 27. A Mass to celebrate the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Jan.1.

The Archabbey library will be closed Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30 to Jan. 1. The St. Meinrad Archabbey gift shop will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1. The Scholar Shop will be closed Dec. 23 to Jan. 1. All times are Central Standard time.
