Ministry institute will offer a variety of classes in June

The Archdiocese of Louisville Ministry Institute will offer a variety of faith formation classes this summer at the Maloney Center, 1200 S. Shelby St., except where otherwise noted. They are:

  • Introduction to Prayer, June 1, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Genesis: The Birth of the Cosmos and a Nation, June 2, 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Introduction to Scripture, June 2, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Introduction to Christology, June 2, 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • The Apocalypse: Decoding Early Christian Views of the End Times, June 2, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Faith Development, June 3, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Overview of Catechetical Ministry, Part II, June 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Images of God, June 4, 9:30 a.m. to noon.
  • Introduction to Sacraments, June 4, 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Parables of Jesus, June 8, 9 a.m. to noon. 
  • Thomas Merton and Christian Humanism: Responding to the Technological Age, June 9, 9 a.m. to noon.
  • The Young and the Restless: Learning from the example of young saints and their witnesses, June 9, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Intersections of Faith and Science in the Classroom (for kindergarten to fifth-grade teachers and catechists), June 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bellarmine University in Centro Hall. The cost is $30; lunch is included.
  • Intersections of Faith and Science in the Classroom (for sixth- to 12th-grade teachers and catechists), June 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bellarmine University in Centro Hall. The cost is $30; lunch is included. 
  • Steadfast Discipleship: The model of Old Testament Women in Scripture, June 11, 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Steadfast Discipleship: The model of New Testament Women in Scripture, June 11, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sacrament Workshop: Confirmation, June 18, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
