Meade County Catholic Radio, a low-powered station at WLHN-LP 95.3 FM, went on the air in November. The new station is an affiliate of Eternal World Television Network (EWTN). It broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the WMMG FM 93.5 radio station in Brandenburg, Ky., and can be heard in Meade County, Ky.

“Currently our programming is being provided by EWTN, but as we move forward we plan to incorporate as much local Catholic news and programs as our news production and programming team can put together,” said Deacon Greg Beavin of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Church in Payneville, Ky in a statement.

“The feedback has been tremendous and we can already see its effect in our faith communities.” The radio station is sponsored by St. John the Apostle Church in Brandenburg, Ky.; St. Martin of Tours Church in Flaherty, Ky.; St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi ; and St. Theresa Church in Rhodelia, Ky.
