The feast of Our Lady of Mercy of Cobre will be celebrated at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8 at St. Rita Church, 8709 Preston Highway. Father J. Mark Spalding, judical vicar of the Archdiocese of Louisville, will preside.
Our Lady of Cobre, also known as Our Lady of Charity, was declared the patroness of Cuba in 1916 by Pope Benedict XV.
