Maryhurst to commemorate 170th anniversary with ground breaking

To celebrate is 170th anniversary, Maryhurst will break ground on a new cottage to be built on the Maryhurst campus. Maryhurst, which was founded in 1843 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, is the state’s oldest child welfare agency.

Through the success of its “Stand Up For Girls Campaign,” Maryhurst has raised the funding necessary to break ground on one new cottage, which includes residential space for 14 girls.

The ceremonial ground-breaking event will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Maryhurst campus, 1015 Dorsey Lane. To RSVP contact Amanda Shumate by phone at 271-4523 or by email at amanda.shumate@maryhurst.org.
