Mackenzie’s Coat Closet provides coats to those in need

Sylvia, a mother of four who didn’t want her last name used, was happy with the coats she was able to get from Makenzie’s Coat Closet, a charity created and run by 13-year-old Makenzie Smith of Borden, Ind. Makenzie’s Coat Closet, a charity created and run by 13-year-old Makenzie Smith of Borden, Ind., collected 3,205 coats for area needy families and children. The coats were distributed Dec. 2 at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Louisville.
