Local Walk for Life to be held Jan. 18

As thousands march in Washington, D.C., tomorrow, Jan. 18, in the March for Life, the Archdiocese of Louisville will host its own Walk for Life at 5 p.m.

The 1.5-mile walk will stop at various sites in downtown Louisville where participants will “pray to affirm life,” according to an announcement about the event. The sites will include the jail, hospitals, an abortion clinic and the site of Thomas Merton’s epiphany.

Prior to the walk, participants will gather in the undercroft of the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth St., at 4:30 p.m.
