Catholic Charities of Louisville’s Migration and Refugee Services will host a letter-writing campaign in support of refugee resettlement on Jan. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Road.

Individuals and families are invited to write letters and make cards that highlight the effect refugees have had on the local community. A refugee will speak at the event and light refreshments will be served.

The letters and cards will be hand delivered to Kentucky lawmakers in Frankfort on Feb. 16, which will be Refugee and Immigrant Day at the capitol.
