Kwanzaa celebration set for Dec. 28 at the Catholic Enrichment Center

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s 36th annual Citywide Kwanzaa Celebration will be celebrated on Dec. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Catholic Enrichment Center, 3146 West Broadway.

The event will include music, prayer, food and a celebration of history.

Kwanzaa means “first fruits of the harvest” in Kiswahili and is a seven-day festival celebrated Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, according to an announcement from the Office of Multicultural Ministry.
