Kindergarten events set for pool, Muhammad Ali Center

Kindergarten Countdown, a series of events for students entering kindergarten, will be hosted at various locations in Louisville this summer.

Children entering kindergarten will receive a free T-shirt, which will serve as a ticket into events for the child and an accompanying adult. Children also will receive a free book.

The next event is today, June 16, for kindergarteners with last names beginning with letters A-M and June 23 for kindergarteners with last names beginning with letters N-Z. The event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the YMCA Northeast Calypso Cove Water Park, 9400 Mill Brook Road.

The next event is June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Muhammad Ali Center, 144 N. 6th St.

Stop by any Louisville Free Public Library to register and pick up the T-shirt and book.
