House of Ruth will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Sept. 16

The House of Ruth will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its founding Sept. 16 with a pair of celebrations at the Frazier History Museum.

The House of Ruth celebration will coincide with the opening weekend of the exhibit “Diana: A Celebration” about the late Princess of Wales.

This year marks the second decade anniversary of the House of Ruth, which meets the social, emotional, housing and financial needs of individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in the Louisville area.

The 20th Anniversary Celebration will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, music by Bourbon Baroque, admission to the “Diana” exhibit, coffee and dessert bar and entry to the “After Hours on the Rooftop” party. The cost is $100 per person.

Tickets to the rooftop party alone, which will be held from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., are $40 a person and will include dancing to music by DJ Rowdy Whitworth, a taco bar by Taco Punk, a cash bar and admission to the “Diana” exhibit. Tickets are available at www.houseofruth.net or by phone at 587-5080. Reservations should be made by Sept. 7.
