Holy Trinity wins academic contest

RecordLogo-FHoly Trinity School won first place in the Kentucky Colonels Sixth Grade Academic Showcase Dec. 3 at St. Leonard School on Zorn Avenue.

Six local schools took part in the event, which was administered by the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition. Students competed in six academic areas and Quick Recall.

In Quick Recall Holy Spirit School placed first.
The other winners and their schools are: Grace Guernsey from St. Mary Academy placed first in math; Coltrane Scheitz-Humphrey from Holy Spirit School placed first in science; Owen Morgan from St. Leonard placed first in social studies; Hollings Ruml from Sacred Heart Model School placed first in language arts and composition; and Shelby Davis from Holy Trinity placed first in arts and humanities.
