The Highlands Community Ministries (HCM) 19th annual Empty Bowls dinner and pottery sale fundraising event will take place Oct. 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bellarmine University’s Frazier Hall, 2001 Newburg Road.
“Empty Bowls is a nationwide effort where local potters create and donate handcrafted pottery bowls. Chefs prepare and donate homemade soups and caring citizens enjoy the soup and take home a bowl,” said a press release from the HCM. A silent auction will take place as well.
The cost of the event is $32 for the meal and the bowl, $12 for the soup only and $5 for children 12 and under, meal only.
The HCM provides food to clients through its Senior Center, Meals on Wheels and a food pantry. For more information or to purchase tickets call 451-5906.
