Hibernian Cup will establish rivalry between Holy Cross and DeSales

The Ancient Order of Hibernians are establishing a new football rivalry, the Hibernian Cup, between Holy Cross High School and DeSales High School. The inaugural game will be played Aug. 23.

Representatives of the Hibernians will visit both schools this Friday, April 26, to show them the trophy. The organization’s president, Mark Wakefield will present the trophy at Holy Cross, 5144 Dixie Highway, at 9 a.m. and at DeSales, 425 Kenwood Drive, at about 9:45 a.m.
