First Hispanic Encuentro for archdiocese is planned Oct. 12

OMMLogoThe Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry will hold the archdiocese’s inaugural Hispanic Encuentro on Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane.

The theme of the event is “Committed to Faith.” It will include prayer and training for families in Catholic education, vocations and spirituality. It will also include presentations, including one by Father Emilio Sotomayor of the Southeast Pastoral Institute. The event will end with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz.

The cost, which includes lunch, is $20 for adults 21 and older and $5 for children under 20. Childcare for children ages one to four will be provided for free, but donations would be welcomed. For more information, call 471-2146.
