About 100 children served by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s Family Success Center packed shoeboxes with donations for children around the world through “Operation Christmas Child” on Dec. 1.
The children wanted to help people in need after hearing from local teens, Olivia and Gabe Feinn, about their efforts to help children in the Congo. About 100 teenage volunteers helped the children pack the donations. The Feinn children funded the project by selling their homemade cakes.
