Empty Bowls, the annual fund raiser of Highlands Community Ministries, will be held at Bellarmine University’s Frazier Hall on Oct. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Local potters have donated their handcrafted pottery bowls for the fund raiser, which includes a dinner of soup, bread, cheese and fruit prepared by local chefs. The event also will include a silent auction. Proceeds help the community ministries’ efforts to feed hungry people.
The cost to attend is $25 and includes the handcrafted soup bowl. Tickets for the meal alone are $10 and a meal for children 12 and under is $5. For reservations, send a check payable to HCM to 1140 Cherokee Road, Louisville, Ky., 40204. For more information, call 451-5906.
