Empty Bowls benefit supports Highlands Community Ministries

The 23rd Annual Empty Bowls Hunger Benefit will be held Oct. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Bellarmine University’s Frazier Hall, 2001 Newburg Rd. The funds raised will support Highlands Community Ministries.

The evening will include “bottomless bowls of homemade soups donated by local chefs; keepsake handcrafted pottery bowls donated by local artists; raffles and a silent auction with theme baskets donated by Highland Community Ministries’ member congregations and products donated by local businesses,” according to an announcement about the event.

The cost of the event is $20 for an adult meal, $5 for a child’s meal, or $250 for a table of up to ten people. Pottery bowls may be purchased for $20.
