Deacon Timothy Golden dies at 66

Deacon Timothy Golden

Deacon Timothy D. Golden, who served as a deacon since 2012, died Dec. 5. He was 66.

Deacon Golden was ordained Aug. 25, 2012. He was assigned to Our Mother of Sorrows, St. Elizabeth and St. Therese churches.

He was a licensed practical nurse who also served as a volunteer firefighter with the St. Matthews Fire Department.

Deacon Golden was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Buk Golden.

He is survived by his daughter Katie Roberts, son Kevin Golden and siblings Bernard Golden, Barbara Cambron, Matt Golden, Jim Golden and Victoria Markell; nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 11 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 12 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
