Deacon Norbert Miller, a deacon since 1981, dies

Deacon Norbert “Nub” Miller, who served the Archdiocese of Louisville for more than three decades, died on April 9. He was 84 years old.

Deacon Miller was ordained a deacon for the archdiocese in 1981. He served as a deacon at St. Bernard and Our Lady of Lourdes churches. He also worked at General Electric, from which he retired after 34 years of service.

Deacon Miller is survived by his wife, Betty Miller; their children Jill Langston, Susan Miller and Bruce Miller and four grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 14 followed by entombment at Resthaven Cemetery.
