The Catholic Services Appeal, which funds more than 100 ministries and programs in the Archdiocese of Louisville, launched its 2018 campaign earlier this month. The goal for this year’s appeal is $3.9 million.
Organizers of the appeal have launched a new way for parishioners to contribute to the campaign.
Text the phrase CSA2018 to 41411 and instructions will prompt you to complete your donation.
The text-to-give option, is a way to engage younger Catholics, said Sarah Wunderlin, director of annual giving.
“They may not always have a checkbook on them but they’ll probably always have a smartphone on them,” she said.
