Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz celebrated a Mass to commemorate the dead at Calvary Cemetery Nov. 3, a day after All Souls’ Day. The outdoor liturgy is celebrated annually at Calvary and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Catholic Cemeteries, one of the agencies supported by the Catholic Services Appeal. Archbishop Kurtz urged the congregation to pray both for their deceased loved ones and for the departed souls who have no one to remember them.
