Coalition offers free courses about human trafficking and teen safety

Presentation Academy students took part in a prayer service May 1 focused on ending human trafficking, which is the buying and selling of people for sex, labor and other services. Sex trafficking spikes around major events, such as the Kentucky Derby, and advocates try to raise awareness of the problem when events are scheduled. The People Against Human Trafficking (PATH) Coalition of Kentucky is offering to educate parishes and other organizations about human trafficking and teen safety.

The coalition offers, at no cost, two different modules. One is an introduction to human trafficking that focuses on trafficking that occurs from the international to the local level. The second module focuses on digital safety for parents and teens with the goal of helping teens stay safe on digital devices.
