Christian men and women invited to become Benedictine Oblates

The Benedictine Sisters of Ferdinand Indiana invite Christian men and women “from all walks of life” to become Oblates of the Sisters of St. Benedict.

The Ferdinand Oblates will hold their next meeting on May 20 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in St. Gertrude Hall at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand. The topic will be “Mary, All Ways” and will be presented by Sister Betty Drewes.

“The spirituality of St. Benedict can be adapted to the life of anyone seeking to live the Gospel message,” according to an announcement from the sisters. “The Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand guide and support Oblates by providing regular Oblate meetings, a quarterly newsletter and various enrichment opportunities.”

The Sisters of St. Benedict serve as educators and in other roles in the Archdiocese of Louisville.
