Catholic Charities will offer monthly ‘Connect’ luncheons

Catholic Charities of Louisville will host ongoing informational meetings about the various ministries and programs it offers through  “Catholic Charities Connect,” a series of hour-long sessions.

Those interested in learning more about Catholic Charities will be served a light lunch and will hear from various staff members, see the facilities where clients are served and listen to personal stories about the agency’s work.

Each session will highlight a different area of ministry. Upcoming sessions and their subjects are:

“Welcome” will be highlighted on Sept. 12  — Staff will discuss Migration and Refugee Services, the Kentucky Office for Refugees and Immigration Legal Services.

“Empower” will be the focus Oct. 4 — Staff will discuss Language Services, Common Table and Common Earth Gardens.

“Strengthen” will conclude the series on Nov. 6 -— Staff will discuss the Long Term Care Ombudsman program, Sister Visitor Center, Family Support Services and the Bakhita Empowerment Initiative that deals with human trafficking.

All programs will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at 2222 West Market Street.

A light lunch will be provided by Catholic Charities’ Common Table program.
