Bellarmine University expects to confer 836 degrees May 9, including 613 undergraduate degrees and 223 graduate degrees.

The commencement exercises at Freedom Hall will recognize graduates of the summer and fall 2025 terms and the spring 2026 term.

Dr. Aaron Thompson, president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, will address the undergraduates, and the graduate ceremony will feature Rachel Greenberg, First Lady of Louisville and a Bellarmine graduate. Both will receive honorary degrees.

“As Bellarmine University celebrates its 75th anniversary, commencement offers a moment to reflect on the institution’s legacy of educating students — mind, body, and spirit — for meaningful lives, rewarding careers, and ethical leadership,” a media release said.

Bellarmine was established in 1950 and is marking its 73rd commencement this year.
