Ball to benefit St. Mary’s Center will be Jan. 19

The annual “Swashbucklers’ Ball” to benefit St. Mary’s Center in Middletown, Ky., will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Seelbach Hotel.

This year is the eighth time the pirate-themed event has been held to benefit St. Mary’s, a non-profit organization that serves teens and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The party will include Caribbean food, live music, dancing, silent and live auctions and various prize giveaways. The emcee for the event is Karen Roby, former news anchor at WLKY-TV. Attire for the evening includes optional pirate costumes or “Jimmy Buffett-themed” outfits.
