Assumption High School students Katie Clark, left, Jennifer Tran, center, and Kaitlyn Dwyer, right, held up four days of trash they created at the school Jan. 16. The students were participating in the OurEarthNow Carry Your Trash Week where they carried all the trash they generated for one week. Tran, a senior, said she participated in the project to bring awareness of how much trash a typical person creates on a daily basis and to inspire younger kids to become involved in recycling efforts. The students did not have to carry items that could be recycled or composted. (Record Photo by Jessica Able)
