St. Paul Church will present
‘No Stone Could Hold Him’ April 1

St. Paul Church at 6901 Dixie Highway will present a musical program called “No Stone Could Hold Him — A Dynamic Witness to the Living Rock of Our Salvation” on Palm Sunday, April 1 at 7 p.m.
The musical celebrates the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and will include performances by instrumentalists, the St. Paul Choir and actors as well as video clips of the Passion.
The entire production is under the direction of Anthony Ransom, director of music for St. Paul Church. The event is free and open to the public.

Sacred Heart Model School
award nominations are sought

Sacred Heart Model School is seeking nominations for its Alumnus of the Year Award and other honors that will be presented next fall during the school’s all-class celebration.
The alumnus award honors a graduate who has made significant contributions to society either in professional life or as a volunteer. Nominees should have graduated 10 or more years ago.
Alumni who graduated less than 10 years ago are eligible for the Young Alumnus Achievement Award for significant contributions to the community. Nominations also are sought for the Former Faculty Award (for educators who taught full-time at the Model School for at least five years) and the Former Parent Award.
Nominations and supporting documentation may be mailed to Nannette Mershon, Sacred Heart Model School Alumni Director, 3177 Lexington Road, Louisville, Ky. 40206, or nmershon@sacredheartschools.org. These materials are due by April 30.

Local art teachers invited
to speak at national event

Three art teachers from the Archdiocese of Louisville were invited to speak at the National Art Education Association Conference in New York March 4.
Cathy Balbach of St. Gabriel School, Carey Given of Holy Trinity School and Laura Dant of St. Agnes and St. Francis of Assisi schools presented “Art for All Seasons.” They also will give a presentation to teachers of the Archdiocese of Louisville during summer in-service sessions.

St. Peter the Apostle will hold
second Health Fair March 25

St. Peter the Apostle’s Parish Health Ministry will hold its second Health Fair on March 25 from noon until 3 p.m.
The event will be held in the gymnasium at St. Andrew Academy, 7724 Columbine Drive.
The health fair will feature door prizes, several health testing opportunities, demonstrations and displays of health and home care resources. There will also be a Red Cross blood drive held in the Parish Life Center adjacent to the gymnasium.
