Archdiocese to auction three properties of former churches

Properties of three former parishes in Southwest Louisville will be auctioned by the Archdiocese of Louisville on Aug. 12.

The former Our Lady of Consolation Church, located at 10801 Deering Road, includes a 24,600 square-foot sanctuary and school, plus an 18,000 square-foot gym on 9.8 acres. The minimum bid is $500,000.

Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 13510 Dixie Highway includes a 16,000-square-foot sanctuary, school and gym and a 2,400-square-foot rectory on nearly 7 acres. The minimum bid is $250,000.

St. Timothy Church at 10300 Lower River Road has a 15,000-square-foot sanctuary, school and cafeteria, 3,300-square-foot rectory and 960-square-foot garage. The minimum bid is $250,000.

The three parishes merged in 2006, along with St. Polycarp and St. Clement churches, to form St. Peter the Apostle Church.
