Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz calls for Day of Prayer and Fasting Oct. 5

Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz is inviting Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of Louisville to join him in a Day of Prayer and Fasting Oct. 5. The day will conclude with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road. The service is open to the public.

The day will be observed to inspire solidarity with victims of sexual abuse, to highlight efforts to renew and repair the church and to renew the clergy in their faithfulness to Christ in virtue and in service, according to an announcement from the archdiocese.

Catholics are also invited to observe a time of prayer in their homes and parishes.
