Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz has made the following appointments:
While continuing as pastor of St. Martha Church, the Rev. Mark M. Hamilton has been appointed the Ecumenical and Interfaith Officer for the Archdiocese of Louisville, effective July 1.
He succeeds Rev. Martin A. Linebach, who has held this position since 2006.
Father Hamilton was ordained a priest in 1994. He earned a doctor of sacred theology degree at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome in 2000 and taught at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit from 2003 to 2009.
The Rev. David A. Cockson has been appointed chaplain at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in addition to his assignment as pastor of St. Ignatius Martyr Church, effective June 22.
