After school programs set to start at CEC

The Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Multicultural Ministry will offer several programs at the Catholic Enrichment Center (CEC), 3146 West Broadway, starting this fall.

  • An after-school tutoring program and cultural institute for students in kindergarten through grade 12 will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting Oct. 15 at the CEC. The cultural institute will offer sewing, dance and arts and crafts classes. The cost of the program is $20 per month per child. For more information or to schedule a tutoring class, contact the CEC at 776-0262. Volunteers to assist with tutoring are welcome.
  • Free ACT and SAT preparation classes will be offered from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oct. 20, Dec. 1, Jan. 9, April 6 and June 1 at the CEC. 
  • A computer coding workshop for kids in fifth- through sixth-grade will take place from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday starting Oct. 22 at the CEC. Participants will create the foundation of a personalized computer game. The workshop is free and only five spaces are available.
