
Formation programs for those interested in becoming extraordinary ministers of holy Communion and those who need an update on their formation will be offered in late January by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship.
The Communion Minister Formation Program for those preparing to serve as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion will be offered on Jan. 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 747 Harrison Ave.
This session is also for those currently serving but who have not attended the program in the past. Registration should be made by Jan. 17.
A Communion Minister Update Session for current extraordinary ministers of holy Communion will be offered on Jan. 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road.
The session is for those who need a mandate renewal and who have already completed the two-hour Communion Minister Formation Program. This session will fulfill the requirements for continuing formation. Registration is requested by Jan. 24. Register for either session by emailing worship@archlou.org or calling 636-0296 ext. 1260.
Where can we find a list of scheduled classes for Formation sessions for Communion Ministers during this coming year. I am with St. Ignatius Martyr Parish an have had a few volunteers to sig up for Extraordinary Ministers for the Eucharist and have been waiting to sign them up for these classess.

I became aware of this one today: A Communion Minister Formation Session, led by the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Worship, will be Feb. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Martha Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. Register by Jan. 31.
