Catholic school students win college-sponsored merit scholarships

Three students in the Archdiocese of Louisville are recipients of college-sponsored merit scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

  • Andrew Frey of St. Xavier High School won the National Merit Michigan State University Scholarship.
  • Justin Burch of St. Xavier won the National Merit University of Louisville Scholarship.
  • Sarah Koch of Assumption High School won the National Merit Centre College Scholarship.

About 7,500 high school seniors will receive these college-sponsored scholarships worth nearly $30 million, according to a press release from the National Merit Corporation.
