Major Scott Benningfield, left, helped his daughter Ashley Benningfield, an Assumption High School student, operate a flight simulator at the Kentucky Air National Guard base, 1101 Grade Lane, June 27. Students who participated in Assumption’s new summer aviation program June 24-28 received an introduction to aviation and aerospace. The students also visited Bowman Field Airport and had the opportunity to fly over downtown Louisville.
