Sacred Heart students receive Ursuline honors

Five Sacred Heart Academy students recently received the Ursuline Student Community Service Award, a national award given annually by the Ursuline Education Network.

The honorees are: Seniors Claire Saylor, Margaret Cunningham, Sophie Burzynski and Emmie Jackson and junior Emily Hilbrecht.

Cunningham and Saylor are involved with a local non-profit, Her Best Foot Forward. Jackson volunteers at 4-H camp and participates in 4-H service projects. Burzynski serves at Sproutlings Pediatric Daycare and Camp Piomingo.

Hillbrecht volunteers in various capacities in the performing arts community, including teaching a ballet class to children with Down Syndrome.
