Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration set for Jan. 21

The Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of Multicultural Ministry will host the 34th annual Archdiocesan Community-Wide Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 South Fifth Street.

The theme of this year’s celebration is “From Maintenance to Mission.” Daughter of the Heart of Mary Sister Anita Baird will be the guest speaker. Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz will preside at the service, which will include Scripture, reflective readings and songs of praise. The Archdiocesan Gospel Choir will provide the music.
