St. William to host Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. event Jan. 15

St. William Church, 1226 W. Oak St., will observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Day with an event entitled “We Must Keep Moving: Acting for Racial, Economic, Military and Environmental Justice,” Jan. 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church.

The event will celebrate Dr. King’s legacy as well as serve as a “call to keep moving and place our energy and support behind the emergent Poor People’s Campaign,” said a statement from organizers.

The event is sponsored by a coalition of non-profit groups including Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light and St. William and the Sowers of Justice.
